Beer cocktails are a thing, says Ahmin Swalef who manages the bar at Mercure Den Haag Central. In fact the bar’s signature cocktail features beer, using a pilsner from local brewer Kompaan.
To make it at home:
– Fill a balloon glass with ice
– Add 50ml of Van Kleef jenever, 20ml of tripe sec, 10ml of honey and 15ml lime juice to a shaker then shake
– Strain into the glass
– Top up with 50ml of Kompaan pilsner
– Garnish with mint and a wedge of lime
– Enjoy!
